If you have long wanted to order something from me, I have good news! Will be part of August reward on my PATREON. In my spare time I decided to do a pinup portrait of Regina from Dino Crisis! ❤️I was in love with her design long time ago. Whether or not we ever get a new Dino Crisis game is up in the air, but high quality fan art like this will certainly make the wait for an announcement even tougher.PATREON / GUMROAD / ARTSTATION / INSTAGRAM / TUMBLR / YOUTUBE
Considering this, Dino Crisis could arguably benefit much more from a remake or reboot by Capcom than Resident Evil.
The poorly-received Dino Crisis 3 stopped the franchise in its tracks, and while there's been reports of some Dino Crisis remakes being in early development, we haven't seen anything substantial of the series since 2003. Whereas the Resident Evil franchise has remained consistently popular since its introduction in the mid-90s, Dino Crisis hasn't enjoyed the same success. Once Capcom exhausts its Resident Evil remakes, though, maybe it will turn its attention to Dino Crisis. This is why Capcom has re-released the Resident Evil games on virtually every video game platform imaginable, and why the company has moved forward with full-fledged remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. That's because Capcom itself has said that it plans on making more remakes and remasters of its games as a main part of its business strategy moving forward. However, there is some reason to be more optimistic about a Dino Crisis remake than other fan-requested video game remakes.Īll I want for Christmas from CAPCOM. Capcom renewing the Dino Crisis trademark is a good sign for sure, but companies renew trademarks all the time without ever actually doing anything with them. While fans may be excited at the idea of a Dino Crisis remake, we must caution that no such game has actually been announced.

The T-Rex in Dino Crisis was a reoccurring source of danger for Regina, even featured in one of the game's most effective jump scares, and so it's nice to see it getting some love in the fan art as well. The image shows an updated look for Dino Crisis protagonist Regina as she hides from what is presumably a Tyrannosaurus-Rex. Reddit user OmniSlayer_006 has posted a fan made image of a new Dino Crisis, which would be built with the RE Engine. With this newfound enthusiasm, fans have started putting out fan art for a new Dino Crisis, with one particularly impressive one recently posted to the Gaming subreddit. We still don't have any idea if a new Dino Crisis game will ever materialize, but Capcom has given fans hope by renewing the Dino Crisis trademark. Dino Crisis fans have been waiting for a new game in the series for nearly two decades now, but nothing has been announced by Capcom.
